Here's what other folks have to say about my work.
“Carin has knit me five sweaters over the last year. She guided me through a process of self measurement and we exchanged many emails about the details. We talked about cuff and collars, slouch and fit, and types of knits. At times it was more like psychotherapy. She responded to all my queries with patience and a sense of humor. I was impressed by how Carin built the foundation and I was duly awed by the sweaters themselves. They fit my body like no other garment ever has. Upon receiving my first sweater I instantly realized that Carin had understood my vision, form fitting but not restrictive, perfectly tailored to me. I also realized the depth of her craftsmanship. She discussed the novel methods she invented in order to make the sweater taper perfectly. She told me all about the blocking process. They just get better and better.
This has been an incredible experience. Carin has taught me so much about the process. I know they are just sweaters but I am so proud of how they turned out. I get so many compliments on them and each time I get to tell a story about how they were made. They just get better every time I wear them, I fully expect them to stay in my family for generations. That’s is... if my kids prove themselves worthy...” - Sam, Connecticut

"I'm an experienced knitter and was hoping Carin could help me improve my Fair Isle tension as well as help with finishing techniques. After looking at samples of my work and watching me knit she did that AND so much more.
Carin spotted a number of things that could be improved and taught me different options to try out. She also followed up with internet references.
Carin's passion and knowledge are nicely paired with patience and a comfortable style that make her a great teacher." - Julia, St. Paul, MN.

"I knew the type of gift I wanted for my wife's birthday, but didn't want just any store-bought, factory-made product. I decided to contact Carin's Bespoke Handknits. When I called, I got immediate collaboration, amazing choices, professional guidance, and an absolutely stunning product! I love it, and my wife loves the shawl Carin made for her even more! Thank you for a great experience and an excellent value!" - Scott, St. Paul, MN.

"Recently, I was searching for someone to knit two baby sweaters and bonnets for my very first grandchildren that were born only two weeks apart. I went to google and found carinknits. I contacted Carin and she responded immediately. We were able to brainstorm the ideas for the sweaters via email and just one phone call. Carin directed me to different knitting sites to choose the design and yarn for the sweaters. I know nothing about knitting but Carin was wonderful and helped me find exactly what I wanted!
The sweaters and bonnets arrived recently and they are beautiful! The quality of Carin's work is first class and just what I envisioned. In addition to the quality of Carin's work, Carin is an excellent communicator and completed my project in a timely matter. I would recommend carinknits for anyone interested in a similar project.
Thanks again Carin for you help!" - Debra, Ligonier, PA.

"Carin is an AWESOME knitter! I went into my custom order not expecting things to run smoothly, but Carin proved me wrong and kept business professional, calculated, and timely! I sent her a drawing and a photograph to help her conceptualize my vision. While many things can go wrong when doing something like that, Carin managed to knit me exactly what I had envisioned! She even made some awesome suggestions that really improved the fit and function of my garment. Best of all...she keeps her agreed upon due date and communicates very very well! She is super responsive to emails. I highly recommend Carin for any custom order." - Eleanore, Salt Lake City, UT.
"Carin is a great knitting tutor. She explains the different styles of knitting and takes her student through the basics step-by-step. She is very encouraging, and makes corrections where needed. I loved learning from her!" - Anissa, Bloomington, MN.

"Carin knit a heartwarming and incredibly cool pair of finger puppets (of her own creation, no less!) for my daughter: a dragon and a firebird. They will forever remain cherished childhood treasures!" - Ariana, St. Paul, MN.
"Carin's knitting process is masterful. She is efficient and quick, turning out complex projects with skill most knitters would envy. Her project management abilities make gauge, pattern and size changes an interesting challenge rather than a problem. I have one of her hats and I can't stop looking at the stitches, both inside and out. Her prices are reasonable, and she meets deadlines perfectly. Knitting is a genuine love for her, so wearing one of her pieces will make you feel truly special. If you can imagine it, she can knit it." - Lindsay, Philadelphia, PA.

"One day I saw Carin had made a sleeve to keep her coffee pot warm with the most clever and delightful owl on it! I was instantly smitten and asked if she could adapt the pattern for a set of fingerless gloves. Not only did she do so beautifully, she kept a dialogue going about color and size, so I was sure to get exactly what I wanted! I love them, and show them off at every opportunity!" - Ariel, St. Paul, MN.
"Carin knit me a beautiful top and wrap. I get "ohhs and ahhs" of admiration from friends and acquaintances. Complete strangers admire my wrap - from a lady in the restroom after a concert to a clerk in a bookstore. I have worn it dozens of times and reliably get at least one compliment per wearing. Thanks so much, Carin! You do beautiful work!" - Diana, Lakeville, MN.
"I have an old hand-me-down sweater made of Icelandic wool that I love and wear nearly every day in the winter, and its cuffs were getting pretty frayed. I had no idea how to mend it myself. Carin was careful to match the mending yarn's color to the sweater, and even gave me a little lesson on the difference between animal fibrous thread and synthetic thread, and how they interact on a garment. She also stitched up a hole in a pair of mittens as well, for good measure. She is a very thoughtful person, and definitely knows her way around the knitting needles." - Kelsey, Minneapolis, MN.

"Absolutely gorgeous!" - Maggie, Minnetonka, MN.
"Carin is a delightful teacher who was very patient and knowledgeable while I was learning to knit. She thoroughly answered all my questions and offered fantastic support throughout the learning process." - Monica, Minneapolis, MN.

"Carin test knit my first shawl pattern for me. Her careful notes and detailed questions were invaluable in refining the pattern to be easily knittable." - Julia, Minneapolis, MN.
